It's the story of Elsa Martinelli who must struggle for survival in the early 1930s in the Texas Panhandle. It's a story of hardship and hope, of disappointment and the love of family. Link to blog in my bio :) This year has been crazy and it's been a while since I posted a blog... but I had to write something about Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens. This book really captured my imagination and I loved the writing style and the atmosphere Owens created in her debut novel. I paired it with a polenta cake drenched in a nartjie syrup. This was inspired by the grits the characters eat in the book! :) Please comment if you've read this book, and will you go see the brand new movie adaptation?
